Leidy

Leidy is one of three children in the rural mountaintop community of Loma Linda, Guatemala. Neither of her parents had the chance to receive an education, and her father is now works as a laborer while her mother maintains the house. As a fourth grader, Leidy has now surpassed the level of education either of her parents received. Her parents are struggling to afford her continued education, as well as cover expenses to correct several unresolved health problems.

In her spare time, Leidy loves to dance and very much enjoys her favorite meal of beef stew.

With $320, Leidy will be able to continue going to school, receive medical attention, and be able to participate in activities outside of school.
