Deborah

Deborah is a young girl from Loma Linda, Guatemala. At home, she lives with her sister, mom, and dad. Her mom takes care of her two daughters while her father is a farmer and works incredibly hard on the coffee plantation, but faces challenges with his livelihood due to an ongoing coffee blight. Because of this, times have been very hard on their family.

Deborah is in her third year of primary school and is an EXCELLENT student! Deborah's favorite color is purple (as you can see from her shirt!) and her favorite food is beans with rice. In her free time, Deborah loves playing dolls with her sister. Though you wouldn't know it from her amazing academic performance, Deborah suffers from a persistent cough and flu, as well as dental problems.

$320 dollars would allow Deborah to continue her path towards a bright academic future, and inspire her sister and peers to do the same.
