Lidia

Lidia is one of six siblings who would benefit greatly from your support

Lidia is an eight-year-old girl living with her parents and six siblings in a small mountainous community in southwestern Guatemala, called Loma Linda. Loma Linda was founded as a coffee-producing community, and the coffee cooperative is the main means of income for most families. However, the coffee plantation has been subject to a blight which has hurt the town economically and has had a direct impact on Lidia and her family. Lidia is the youngest of all her siblings and is in her second year of primary school at the local community school where she is an exemplary student. Outside of school, Lidia loves to play with dolls and spend time with her friends on the soccer field. They often play games similar to 'Simon Says' and 'Duck Duck Goose.'

It will cost $320 for Lidia to attend school and be supported in recreational activities for one year. This sponsorship will be very helpful to Lidia and her large family!
